West County READS  accepts new and gently used children’s books. Our target age group is from birth to the third grade, or 0-8 years old. We encourage variety, from board books to early readers. If you have books for older youth, we welcome them, too. West County READS gives away approximately 10,000 children’s books every year! We acquire books through our designated book drop-off locations and book drives, where we collect gently used books, as well as from cash donations, and grants that allow West County READS to buy new books (including Spanish-English dictionaries).

Take It, Leave It bookshelves are informal lending libraries that encourage literacy and community involvement.
