WCR Will be part of these very important event.

The second-annual West Contra Costa Education Fair welcomes students and families to explore over 50 public schools and dozens of community-based organizations that serve youth in West Contra Costa.

Stop by our table to learn more about the important work West County Reads performs in west Contra Costa county and how you can get involved.

Flyer  – English and Español



  • Parking: You can park in the RHS parking lot or on the street.
  • Water bottles: Please bring your own refillable bottle– there are drinking fountains in the mall space and we will not be providing bottles
  • WiFi and outlets: There will be guest wifi available for participating schools and orgs. There will not be outlet access though so if you bring a  laptop, please make sure it’s charged up!
  • Stay till the end: The fair goes from 10am-1pm
  • No giveaways for schools: Remember that schools and orgs CAN bring whatever information, handouts and presentations that they want and CAN collect info from families.
  • Food for families: WCCUSD Food Services is providing a limited number of free salads, sandwiches, parfaits and fruit/cheese plates for kids.
  • Pop ups out front: Tacos el Chino and Roux will have pop up food options available from 11am-1pm in front of RHS.
  • Website and last outreach: We have a webpage and facebook event for all central information.


Covid-19 Notice

West County Reads has Cancelled all upcoming events due to the Corona Virus outbreak. We look forward to resume activities on May 3rd 2020. We are still operational to a small extend and Yes! We are accepting donations. And yes we are exploring other ways to make books available to the community. Contact us for more information.
